How do I place an order?
Although you can place an order by phone, we prefer that you email your order to the following two email addresses:

Louise and Lynray are the ladies at our office who process the orders. So for fastest service, please make sure they both receive your orders (other staff members may be out of office and cannot respond quickly).
What are the warehouse opening hours?
Monday to Friday 07h30 to 16h30
Except for Cape Town, which closes at 15h30 on Fridays
What is the lead time from order to delivery?
By courier: 3 to 5 days
By truck: usually within 3 days
Collection: 24h from receipt of proof of payment

Pricing varies by product, by location, by quantity and whether transport is included or not. We therefore do not have one pricelist. We prepare quotations according to each customer’s requirement. Please feel free to request a quote

What is your minimum order quantity?
Minimum order quantity is one bag. Most of our products come in 25kg bags, however some are 30kg, 50kg or bulk bags. We also sell 1kg packs from our Online Shop.
Do you deliver?
We offer delivery for 2 ton lots and upwards. Smaller quantities should be collected from our warehouse; however we can prepare a special quote including delivery if required.
What is the price for delivery?
The price for delivery varies by quantity and location. Email us these details and we will send you the price.
Is delivery free over a certain amount?
Unfortunately not, because we use third parties to deliver.
What is the pack size?
Most of our products come in 25kg bags, however some are 30kg, 50kg or bulk bags. We also sell 1kg packs from our Online Shop.
What is the pallet size?
Pallet size varies by product. For example, the pallet size is 1350kg for ASCOM 5, ASCOM 10, ASCOM 50T, ASCOM 30T and G3000. Email us for pallet sizes of the other products.
Are the pallets returnable?
Our pallets are non-returnable and there is no pallet deposit.
Is the price per ton or per pallet?
All prices are quoted per metric ton, exclusive of VAT.
How much does 1 pallet cost?
This can be calculated when you know the pallet size and the price-per-ton. For example, for a 1.35t pallet, multiply the price-per-ton by 1.35 to get the price for one pallet.
How much does 1 bag cost?
This can be calculated when you know the bag size and the price-per-ton. For example, for a 25kg bag, divide the price-per-ton by 40 to get the price for one 25kg bag.
Can I pay at the warehouse?
Unfortunately not. Our warehouses are run by third parties who do not handle cash. Please do a bank transfer, send us the proof of payment and get our go-ahead before going to collect.

What are your payment terms?
Terms for new and once-off buyers are payment in advance. Regular customers can apply for an account to pay at 30 days from statement, however this will be subject to credit approval and cover by Credit Guarantee.
Is there a discount for volume?
Yes, the price for a full truckload is usually lower than the price for one or two tons. Please feel free to request a quote.
Is there a discount for payment in advance?
Yes, we usually offer a discount for payment in advance, except where the price offered is already a special price.
Is there a discount for payment at 30 days?
No, we do not offer a discount for paying your account on time.
For kaolin, what difference does water-washing make?
The water-washing process removes impurities such as silica and mica. A water-washed kaolin will be a much purer kaolin than a milled kaolin, where all the impurities are milled in together with the kaolin.
Are your products food-grade?
No, most of our grades are industrial grades and not suitable for food applications.
What does B.P. grade mean?

Which product do you recommend for making chalk paint?
ASCOM 2 is a fine white calcium carbonate grade that we recommend for making chalk paints. For any further advice, ask Dr Google!
Is your bentonite sodium or calcium bentonite?
Our ECCABOND N and ECCACAT bentonite grades are sodium bentonite.
What can I use for lining a pond?
Bentonite is only effective for lining large dams with gradually sloping sides. It is not suitable for ponds with straight sides because the bentonite falls to the bottom and cannot form a seal. We recommend you consult a pond specialist as this is not our area of expertise.
Can I order online?
Yes, our Online shop offers 1kg packs of most of our product categories. For larger quantities, we need to prepare a custom quotation depending on quantity, location and whether you want delivery or not. Please feel free to request a quote.
Do you deliver by post?
No, the South African postal service has become unreliable so we prefer Postnet-to-Postnet or Courier for sending samples and 1kg packs.
